1 / What is coaching?

Coaching is a co-creative journey that you and a coach embark upon. A coach helps you discover all resources within you and teaches you techniques to tap into them to reach your full potential. During coaching sessions, there is an inevitable emergence of clarity and through a coach’s guidance you will be able to move towards achieving the goals you have set for yourself in an efficient, empathetic, productive manner.

2 / Why is coaching important & what are the benefits?

Coaching enables you to take responsibility of your life and it empowers you to accomplish your goals by taking a more structured and disciplined approach. Coaching holds you accountable for the goals you set for yourself. You will uncover blindspots and receive unbiased feedback which will help you gain clarity. By creating a safe space, coaching helps unlock the answers that already exist in you.

3 / How it coaching different from therapy?

The idea behind therapy is to focus on past experiences and issues to change self-destructive habits, repair and improve relationships and work through painful feelings. In that sense, therapy works with the past, introspection and analysis, with the aim to resolve past issues and create a happier, more stable future. Coaching on the other hand, is more future-focused which helps to clarify goals, identify hidden strengths and obstacles and limiting behaviours in order to create an action plan towards those desired goals.

4 / How long does it take to see results?

While that solely depends on the goals you set and their level of complexity; true and most importantly, sustainable practices that fuel growth take a minimum of a month or two to become a part of your life. Research in neuroscience has shown that it can take anywhere between 18 to 256 days for someone to form a new habit, with an average of 66 days.

5 / What is a discovery session?

Also known as the breakthrough session, a discovery session is the very first call you have with a coach. Since coaching is highly personalised, the purpose of this session is to learn about you, where you are currently and where you wish to go. This session is for the coach to assess the goals you wish to work towards and issues you wish to overcome and create a rhythm and framework that ensures an environment where you feel safe and are able to achieve the outcomes you're looking for.
